i woke up yesterday with my head on my shoulders and my stomach in my hands.
i filed the final memories of a whole year
into the depths of my old wooden brain.
coughed up blood and spent some time in my cold room.
shared stories of dead friends and childhood dreams.
today i was asked what 2012 will mean to me.
and i don’t really feel that i can answer that yet.
all i can hope for is some perspective, i can hope for people to grasp onto the words i type, scream, sing, or yell.
all i can hope for is the ability and stability to work as hard as i can
to see the world and the people living on it.
